Delos Power joins Women’s Empowerment Principles to promote gender equality

Milan, May 15, 2025 – Delos Power proudly announces its adherence to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), strengthening its commitment to gender equality and inclusion in the workplace. The WEPs, presented by the UN Global Compact in partnership with UN Women, provide a framework to guide companies in adopting practices and policies that promote gender equality in the workplace. This is done through 7 principles aimed at strengthening the position of women in business to ensure women’s long-term equality in the workplace.

“Our adherence to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) is meant to be a concrete commitment to support gender equality and opportunity in every area of our organization. Equality is an essential factor in the growth, innovation and sustainability of our business. And it is with this belief that we will let WEPs guide us in building our strategies and policies. Through our monitoring platform, we ensure that we observe trends in the wage gap and career opportunities, but our commitment does not stop there: to accelerate change and make our reality a model of equity, inclusion and respect for all.”

stated Lorenzo Petralito, CEO of Delos Power.

Delos Power’s adherence to the WEPs is part of a sustainability journey that integrates gender equality principles into corporate strategy. Among the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the company, number 5 – Gender Equality – is a key pillar of the commitment to ensure equal opportunity at all levels of the organization.

Angela Racca, Head of Investor Relations & Sustainability at Tages Capital SGR said:

“We are proud that Delos Power, our partner in PV plant management, has chosen to adhere to the Women’s Empowerment Principles. At Tages, we believe that energy and social transitions must go hand in hand: promoting equity and inclusion is not only an ethical duty, but a pillar of any truly sustainable strategy. Today, less than 20% of the energy sector workforce are women, despite the fact that they make up 39% of the global workforce. Yet, industries such as photovoltaics and wind power – where women reach 40% of workers and more than 25% of management positions – demonstrate that change is possible (source World Energy Employment 2024). Delos Power’s commitment goes in this direction: to give space, visibility and concrete opportunities to female talent in an industry that is still too unbalanced. It’s an important step toward truly clean energy, including socially.”

With this membership, Delos Power becomes one of 149 Italian companies to date to sign the WEPs, strengthening its role as an active promoter of change. In addition, the company formally commits to reporting on its work on gender equity, monitoring progress and developing targeted actions to promote a corporate culture that is increasingly inclusive and respectful of diversity.
